Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Ranch Hand to join our operation in Cherry County, Nebraska. The ideal candidate will have solid experience handling cattle, operating ranch equipment, and maintaining fences. This is a hands-on role that requires initiative, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily feeding of livestock and maintenance of feeding equipment
- Operation of tractors, loaders, and other ranch machinery
- Monitoring cattle health — identifying and doctoring sick animals
- Building and maintaining barbed wire and electric fences
- Troubleshooting and maintaining electric fence systems
- Assisting with seasonal ranch activities as needed
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license required
- Experience operating tractors and ranch equipment
- Basic cattle handling and doctoring skills
- Fencing experience (barbed wire and electric)
- Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently
