This posting is for Ranch Hand with many duties and responsibilities.
We are a working cattle ranch, hunting ranch and raise running Quarter Horses. The person who joins our team will be a key member as each of us has our core responsibilities.
During hunting season (November-February) you will be primarily taking care of dogs, cleaning many quail and ensuring the lodge grounds are kept tidy. During hunting season you can expect to work 6 days a week from 6am-4pm.
After our season ends, you will go on a 5 on and 2 off schedule. In the off season you will be responsible for grounds maintenance, help with our kennels and horses and general ranch duties. Horse experience is a plus but not a requirement.
You must be flexible, be a self starter and require little supervision once on your feet in this position. We do offer housing and all utilities. We are 25 miles from town, so if you are a social butterfly this position will not be for you. Ranch work is demanding work and animals have to be fed daily. If you are not sure if this position is fit for you, don't apply! I am looking for a workhorse not a show horse.
