We have a 350 acre recreational ranch in the hills of Texas about 90 mins outside of DFW in Stephenville, Texas.
Position entails the the following:
- Overall looking after the ranch which consists of 4 houses, barn, work shops, fishing ponds, etc.
- Looking after livestock, poultry (and dogs when we are out of town). The cattle manage themselves for the most part, so the day to day is collecting eggs from the coop, keeping the chickens fed and watered, and taking care of our other animals when we are off the ranch.
- Light maintenance on all the heavy equipment (gas, grease, running weekly). This includes tractors to bulldozers.
- Helping maintain fences and other structures around the ranch.
- Landscaping (around the houses and shops) and Mowing the fields. This is using the tractor, riding mower, etc.
- Helping maintain roads, etc
- Communicating with contractors and vendors when they are doing projects on the ranch.
For the last several years I have taken care of the ranch on my own. So this is definitely something that another person can manage. Another full time employee is on site that manages the offices and houses.
