Beautiful private guest ranch located near Glacier National Park on 127 acres is seeking a Ranch Hand in the Whitefish/Kalispell area. You will be part of a team of two other individuals on a non-working ranch (no cattle or horses).
Position overview:
We are in search of a conscientious and skilled Ranch Hand Caretaker to oversee the maintenance and housekeeping of our residential homes and the surrounding property. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a keen eye for detail and a hands-on approach to both indoor and outdoor tasks.

Job Duties and Key Responsibilities:
- Deadwood tree removal with a chain saw
- Mend and maintain fencing
- General maintenance and care of cars, trucks, snowmobiles, 4-wheelers, lawn mowers and all other equipment and tools to include clean and detail as needed
- Ground maintenance: lawn mowing, irrigation system management, planting to include gardening and flower beds
- Property maintenance: building upkeep (staining/painting), roadways, and snow-removal
- Purchasing of tools, equipment, and materials
- Perform routine maintenance: minor repairs and troubleshooting issues to appliances, fixtures and systems within the homes
- Maintain the inside of multiple homes to include: thorough cleaning, vacuuming of all interior spaces and general housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows, polishing stainless steel, straightening of furniture, and removal of waste to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and presentation
- Manage laundry duties: washing, drying, ironing, organizing linens and clothing as needed
- Oversee waste management, including regular trash collection and recycling
- Maintain outdoor living spaces, decks and walkways to make sure they are clean and presentable
- Carryout seasonal deep cleaning and organization projects in both homes
- Seasonal snow removal from walkways, driveways and entrances during winter months

- Help coordinate with subcontractors for specialized maintenance or repair services
- Keep an inventory of all cleaning and maintenance supplies. Place orders to keep inventory stocked properly

Requirements:
- 5+ years hands-on relevant experience
- Previous experience of housekeeping, property maintenance, or similar care taking role for a ranch
- Willingness to perform all job duties
- Knowledge of construction, plumbing, electrical, (use of chainsaw is helpful) and cleaning techniques
- Experience using a chain saw and all other equipment/tools for this position
- Physical ability to perform tasks in various weather conditions and lift objects up to 50 pounds
- Strong organizational skills and excellent time management skills with ability to multi-task, (if needed)
- Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license
- Have a can-do, will-do attitude to assist on all Ranch operation/activities to include excellent communication
- Must pass drug screen and background check
