Saddleback Ranch is a family-owned guest ranch just outside Steamboat Springs, Colorado. We pride ourselves on offering authentic Western adventures year-roundโfrom horseback rides and guided snowmobile tours to a winter tubing hillโall while upholding the values of hard work, teamwork, and hospitality.
Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated individual or couple to join our team as All-Around Ranch Hands. At least one applicant must hold, or be willing and able to obtain, a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement to drive guest shuttles. This role blends guest service, outdoor adventure, and hands-on ranch work, making it ideal for someone who loves variety and the Western lifestyle.
What Youโll Do (Key Duties)
- Horseback Rides โ Saddling, guiding rides, caring for horses, and assisting guests.
- Winter Operations โ Supporting snowmobile tours & tubing hill (equipment checks, safety briefings, guest help).
- Guest Transportation โ Driving shuttles safely to and from ranch activities (CDL required or willingness to obtain).
- Ranch Chores โ Feeding livestock, fencing, maintenance, and seasonal projects.
- Guest Service โ Delivering a safe, fun, and memorable experience every day.
Qualifications
- โ Class B CDL with passenger endorsement required for at least one applicant, or willingness and ability to obtain it.
- โ Prior experience in ranch work, livestock handling, or hospitality helpful but not required.
- โ Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
- โ Dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn.
- โ Positive, people-friendly attitude and strong teamwork skills.
