Learn practical skills and gain the experience necessary to become a top ranch manager. We are looking for an employee that knows how to work quickly and is family-friendly for our ranch. We have a second-generation owner with more than 60 years of experience to fourth-generation. You would be under the leadership of one other employee. This can also be open to entry-level if that person can hustle.
You will gain experience in the following areas:
- Natural cattle raising under GAP and IMI certifications
- Gentle cattle handling
- Intensive rotational grazing (including perimeter barbwire fences and internal one-wire pig-tail fences)
- Artificial Inseminating
- Calving and tagging
- Branding
- Maintaining computerized records
- Helping maintain vehicles and equipment
- Supplemental feeding in the winter
- Freeze branding annually
- Using fire-fighting equipped pickups in emergencies
- Other projects as necessary …
Requirements:
- Must expect long ranching hours, be able to lift heavy objects, and possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must go through a complete background and credit check and offer references.
- Must be good with children (6-15).

- We are a conservative Christian family and while this position is open to people of all faiths, successful applicants must be able to respect and live within the boundaries of our way of life. This includes no sleeping around, no getting drunk, no drugs, no smoking, no porn, no cussing around children.
Benefits:
- Salary around $25,000 and dependent on motivation and experience

- Private bedroom, and shared kitchen and bath ranch housing, electricity, water/sewer
- Truck and gas for ranch projects
- Option to run some animals if qualified for our certification programs
- There is a 3,000-person town just 10 minutes away with schools, a hospital, a library, multiple grocery stores, restaurants, fast food, general stores and gift shops, etc.
