Ranch Manager needed for a well-known cow/calf and cutting horse operation located one hour west of Fort Worth. Integrity, experience, professionalism, and communication are essential to manage day-to-day operations on this ranch. Non-smoking personnel with neat appearance a must to represent ranch.
Duties to include:
- Manage cow herd, including tagging, rotation, culling, and marketing.
- Manage grounds including mowing, haying, fence repair, minor plumbing and electrical, and RO water system.
- Manage horses including foaling, halter breaking, shots, barn upkeep, cleaning stalls, hauling, and riding and exercising.
- Maintain horse records including schedules for feeding, worming, and trimming.
- Manage employees and vendors.
- Maintain cow records and feed reports.
- Stock property structures with supplies, change filters, and inspect regularly.
- Oversee any special events required by owner, including scheduling and management of event vendors.
- Provide approved invoices for payment and maintain weekly and monthly reports.
Must undergo background and credit check prior to hire. Additionally, oversee and manage one full-time ranch hand. Housing provided and salary commensurate with experience. Start date after January 1, 2024.
Minimum 5-10 years of experience required
