Looking for a single or couple to help manage an 18 acre farm which is also used as a vacation destination. Part of the work is land based, tending to land and animals, part of the work is dealing with people who come to visit and vacation on the land in our cabins.
Examples of duties: assist in the management of the ranch (18 acres), care for all animals (horses, sheep, mules, chickens, dogs, cats) on the ranch. Ability to fix or acquire assistance/problem-shoot (call for outside assistance when necessary) ranch issues such as light plumbing/electric/carpentry that come up, helping with events on the ranch, maintaining adequate supplies/feed for animals and dwellings and ordering when necessary, various farming related duties like fixing fences, hauling hay, mowing lawns, trimming gardens. This is a labor intensive job.
We are looking for someone who has good communication skills, is organized, polite, hard working, self starting, and can interact with people/guests in a courteous way.
Ideally we would like to find a couple, one is a FT employee and the other a PT employee, although the latter is not a requirement. Singles welcome to apply. This position comes with a fully furnished cabin suitable for up to 2 people.
All Cabin utilities paid including Wifi, paid ranch/caretaker phone.
Years of experience preferred: Depending on situation, training can be provided in most cases.
Fully furnished cabin with kitchen, laundry, and all utilities and Wifi included. In addition, $800 monthly stipend.
