Alma Rosa Winery is seeking a high-character, forward-thinking Ranch Manager to steward our 628 Acre estate property in alignment with our commitment to excellence, integrity, and stewardship. This role is responsible for the care, maintenance, and thoughtful development of our ranch lands, residences, water systems, and infrastructure. The Ranch Manager will also support vineyard operations as needed and identify revenue-generating opportunities that enhance sustainability and offset estate expenses.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in land stewardship, operational precision, and creating long-term value.

Key Responsibilities

Estate & Infrastructure

  • Oversee maintenance of ranch land, roads, fencing, residences, and facilities
  • Manage wells, pumps, tanks, and irrigation systems
  • Implement preventative maintenance plans and manage contractors

 Agricultural & Revenue Initiatives

  • Develop and oversee programs such as livestock, bees, estate garden, olives, or similar initiatives
  • Evaluate and execute opportunities that offset operating costs
  • Maintain alignment with regenerative and sustainable practices

 Vineyard Support

  • Coordinate with vineyard leadership during peak seasons
  • Provide operational support and infrastructure collaboration

 Operations & Leadership

  • Manage ranch budget and cost controls
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship
  • Communicate effectively with ownership and cross-functional teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Ranch Management, Environmental Science, or related field
  • 3–7 years experience managing a ranch or diversified agricultural property
  • Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, land management, and small-scale agriculture
  • Financial awareness and ability to evaluate revenue-generating initiatives
  • Strong character, communication skills, and leadership presence
