Job Description:
We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Ranch Manager to oversee our operations. As the Ranch Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing various aspects of our ranch, including livestock management, light construction, welding, fencing, farming, irrigation, and implementing regenerative principles.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the ranch, including overseeing livestock management, breeding, feeding, and herd health.
- Coordinate and manage light construction projects, including maintenance and repair of existing structures.
- Perform welding and fencing tasks as needed to maintain ranch infrastructure.
- Oversee farming activities, including crop rotation, soil management, and irrigation.
- Implement regenerative principles and sustainable farming practices to optimize the health and productivity of the land.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all staff members.
- Manage and supervise a team of ranch hands, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute long-term strategies to grow the business.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in ranch management and livestock handling, preferably with a focus on bison or large animals.
- Proficient in light construction, welding, and fencing techniques.
- Strong knowledge of farming practices, including crop rotation, irrigation, and soil management.
- Familiarity with regenerative principles and sustainable agriculture.
- Excellent leadership and managerial skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
