Lazy TV Ranch
Lazy TV Ranch is a progressive, family-owned cattle and farming operation with two locations in South Dakota. We run 950 registered cows and market 200 bulls annually. We’re looking for a ranch manager to work alongside 2 to 3 other employees at our north ranch where 550 cows are run year round.
Calves are moved to the south ranch in September (weaning time). Responsibilities include winter calving (large updated calving barn) with night checks, keeping cattle records, feeding, monitoring herd health and treating sick animals, AI’ing, repairing/building fence, haying, maintaining irrigation pivot and other equipment.
Applicant must have a valid driver’s license, be willing to work extended hours during calving and haying, physically able to work in all weather conditions, have a minimum of 2+ years calving cows/heifers, experience operating equipment. Experience with registered cattle is a bonus.
Compensation includes competitive pay (DOE), housing with utilities, 1/2 beef annually, retirement, seasonal incentive bonuses, opportunity to run cows and potential to move up financially for motivated person.
