Ranch Mgr. opening in Breckenridge, Texas for experienced, dependable and honest person for a family owned cow/calf operation on 2,000 acres. This position requires a hands-on role with strong livestock and land mgmt. experience, who is highly organized and motivated to complete projects on time.
Responsibilities: livestock health, feeding, breeding and handling, fences, barns, roads, water systems, and all equipment. Can operate and keep mtce. records on tractors, skid steers, dozers, ATVs, and excavators. Coordinate with vets, suppliers and contractors, monitor pasture conditions, grazing schedules and land uses. Supervision of one ranch hand, housekeeping and suppliers, light welding, some knowledge of hunting, whitetail mtce. and feeding along with MLD records, experience with horses a plus. Manage mesquite and cactus program and all aspects of headquarters including lawn care.
Qualifications: prior ranch mgmt. and livestock experience, equipment operation and basic mechanical skills, adapt to all weather conditions, reliable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, valid drivers license and drug free.
Salary/benefits: TBD – commensurate with years of experience, includes housing near property with acreage and horse stalls, bonus potential and two weeks paid vacation after one year of continuous employment. This is a long-term and stable opportunity for the right candidate.
