We are looking for a motivated individual to join the team and help carry out our vision and goals.

This is a modern ranching enterprise focused on asset management, natural resource conservation, infrastructure improvement, hospitality for ranch owner and guests.

Ranch activities here are diverse and ideal candidate will need to wear many hats, requiring someone who has an open mind and can see the big picture, plan for the long term, forecast and get ahead of problems.

Strong leadership is desired. There are additional full time ranch employees who will report to the ranch manager. Thoughtfulness and respect towards the staff is important.

We have many ongoing and future construction projects, using both outside contractors and in house labor. Ideal candidate would have basic aptitude for and interest in construction and willingness to increase that knowledge as the job requires.

Extreme attention to detail is a must. Ranch grounds, facilities, and equipment are complex and must be maintained at a high level.

The ranch runs a small herd of beef cattle, using grazing as a management tool for grassland restoration. Stockmanship, horsemanship, and low stress livestock handling are taken seriously.

Location, distances, topography of the ranch require focus on efficiency and time management.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Computer skills are needed including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, mapping software, etc.

Candidate should have a savvy for numbers, ability to budget for expenditures, take competitive bids for projects large and small, and ensure high value for dollars spent.

Familiarity with living and operating in a desert environment is a plus.

Ranch manager reports to and will work closely with Area Ranch Manager.
