Traditional, progressive cattle ranch looking for a well-rounded, hands on, experienced manager.
- 5 plus years of experience of managing ranch/farm
- Proven experience with cattle husbandry
- Strong leadership and decision making skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Experience and knowledge in water management including center pivot and flood irrigation
- Experience and knowledge of farm equipment repair and maintenance
- Experience in the raising and harvesting of hay
- Skills to supervise and manage all other ranch personnel.
This is a 20,000 deeded acre ranch with a number of BLM and Forest Service grazing leases. We run cow/calf pairs and well as yearlings. We put up about 3,000 ton of hay each year. The ranch is very remote, being one hour from town. There are no schools in the immediate area.
