175 acre Private Equine estate looking for full time ranch manager to live on site in beautiful home on ranch (3 bed/2bath). Work schedule is 5 days a week. Must have positive attitude, self starter and good communicator. Must have horse care knowledge of at least 5 years and a kind hand with animals – a must.
Responsibilities include: Daily job includes feeding, watering, cleaning stalls/turn outs, keeping the alleyways clean, turning out horses, arena grooming and general grounds keeping and overall care of all animals including the overall wellbeing of horses. Also, oversee the ranch when owners away for approximately 6 months per year including ranch hands.
Operating ranch equipment including: tractors, spreaders, bush hog mower, dump trailers, large and small horse trailers
Maintenance & Repair Duties: Minor fencing, minor tree trimming, minor carpentry, minor electrical and plumbing, general mechanical and maintenance skills, mowing pastures and road maintenance, Will providing training on the job if applicant has a experience in the majority of skills above.
Must have clean driving record and complete a drug test and criminal background checks.
Position includes a home on the ranch with paid utilities as mentioned above plus applicants horse boarding included plus a salary to be determined based on experience.
