ERR Ranch
Reputable Gunnison, Colorado ranch looking for an experienced ranch manager. The ranch manager will report to a Homeowners Board.
The cattle grazing and haying are outsourced to a third party, and the ranch manager will manage this relationship and advise the Homeowners Board on ranching operations. The manager would manage and maintain the ranch fences, the ranch-owned equipment, ranch roads, and the common area buildings, including the recreational facilities.
In the winter the manager would be responsible for keeping the ranch roads clear of snow. In sum, we are looking for someone who has agricultural experience, is prepared to do hands-on work around the ranch, and who also has the leadership and general management capabilities to run a ranch with both agricultural and recreational features.
Salary will be dependent on market rates and an individual’s experience for this position, plus housing, medical insurance, and other standard benefits. Experience and knowledge of hay production and harvest, ditch irrigation, operating tractors and shredders, farm equipment and facilities maintenance, and fencing is required. We would prefer a settled individual.
