We are looking for a full-time Ranch Manager to oversee the operations of a large ranch with two main divisions: wildlife management and cattle ranching.
Wildlife Division
This area involves the care, management, and reproduction of the following species in both enclosed and free-range environments:
- Mule deer
- Whitetail deer
- Desert bighorn sheep
Key responsibilities include:
- Wildlife genetics, feeding, and reproductive management in pens
- General animal care and health supervision
- Operation and maintenance of trail cameras for population monitoring
- Management of hunting operations and customer experience
- Oversight of supplemental feeding programs in the open range
Cattle Division
We currently operate an intensive rotational grazing system using electric fencing. The Ranch Manager will be responsible for:
- Daily herd management
- Weaning, branding, administering medication
- Cattle sales and logistics
- Pasture rotation planning and fence maintenance
General Ranch Management
Beyond the two core divisions, the Ranch Manager will be in charge of:
- Maintenance and operation of all ranch infrastructure (water systems, roads, fencing, buildings, etc.)
- Coordinating staff and scheduling tasks
- Reporting to ownership on progress and needs
Requirements:
- Experience managing ranch operations (wildlife and/or cattle)
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Basic mechanical and infrastructure maintenance knowledge
- Passion for wildlife, conservation, and livestock
- Spanish preferred but not required
