Range & Forage Management
- Rotational Grazing: Design and execute a sustainable, intensive rotational grazing plan optimized for the Nebraska Sandhills to maximize forage and soil health.
- Feed & Supplementation: Monitor range conditions and manage winter feeding programs, including hay sourcing and mineral supplementation.

- Safety Culture: Foster a safe, efficient, and professional working environment on the ranch.
Operations, Assets & Maintenance

- Equipment Care: Oversee the preventative maintenance and repair of tractors, ATVs/UTVs, trucks, and haying equipment.
- Logistics: Coordinate the physical shipping, receiving, and cross-state transferring of livestock.
Data & Financial Input
- Chute-Side Data: Ensure precise physical data collection (weights, tags, vaccinations) and sync seamlessly with our Remote Operations & Admin Manager.
- Budgeting: Manage local operational expenses, track input costs (feed, fuel, vet supplies), and operate within annual budgetary guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of hands-on management experience on a large-scale cattle operation (1,000+ head preferred).
- Sandhills Knowledge: Deep familiarity with Nebraska Sandhills ecosystems, intensive grazing strategies, and winter weather management is highly preferred.

- Data & Record Compliance: Assist the operations office by accurately capturing and reporting field data from chute sessions, breeding, birthing, weaning, and DNA sampling.
- Horseback Operations: Utilize confident horseback riding skills for gathering, checking, and sorting cattle.
- Equipment & Heavy Machinery: Safely operate tractors, loaders, feed trucks, and haying equipment.
