Range riding for the Upper Green Cattle Association on The Drift in the Upper Green River Valley in Sublette County Wyoming.

Rider will be in a remote location, miles from anyone else. There are a significant number of Grizzly Bears and Wolves in the area. Cabin provided with solar powered fridge, wood stove, bed; but no electricity and no indoor plumbing. We provide propane if needed. There is a nearby spring with good water.

Job duties include: fencing, moving cattle to prevent overgrazing, doctoring cattle as needed, finding cattle killed by predators and working with the Fish & Game Dept. to have them inspected. You will be responsible for a couple thousand head. You need several horses and and they need to be shoed.

Start date is June 1, 2021 and end date is October 31, 2021. Pay is $2250/mo. broken up in the following way: you get $1650/mo of taxed income, then there is a $400/mo non-taxable vehicle allowance, then at the end of the season a $1000 ($200/mo.) bonus is paid. We provide horse feed.
