Get paid to ride in the Stockyards, Entertain & Educate visitors. The Fort Worth Herd, twice daily Longhorn cattle drive, is looking for a few good Drovers to ride horses and participate in the cattle drive, barn attendants and an operations manager (email for more information).

*Drovers are required to not only have western equine experience but also exceptional people skills because they will be working with the general public and children.

Barn Attendants are required to maintain the facility and complete general daily maintenance of all facilities including stalls and horse facilities and equipment.

*Drover position: Horse, Tack & Clothing provided. Part time, varied schedule, weekends & holidays required, no benefits. Opportunity to promote to full time with experience and qualifications. No housing provided. You must also be able to pass a drug test and background check. Starting Drover position rate $14.00/hour.

*Barn Attendant position: Part time, varied schedule, weekends & holidays required, no benefits. Opportunity to promote to full time with experience and qualifications. No housing provided. You must also be able to pass a drug test and background check. Starting Barn position rate $12.00/hour.

*Operations Manager DOE

Required: Two (2) years of responsible experience in horseback riding, cattle handling and public relations activities. Extensive team work and public contact required. This position is responsible for the direct care of horses and cattle, operation and maintenance of equipment, driving cattle, interacting with visitors and presenting educational programs to children and adults.

Indoor and outdoor environments; exposure to extremes in weather conditions; work around moving vehicles and animals; exposure to dust, fumes, and noise. Selected candidate must be willing to work weekends and holidays. Bilingual skills Spanish/English skills are preferred.
