Earn an income while having a flexible schedule allowing time to explore Montana. Housing provided for either a single employee or a couple.
Housing and utilities provided in an idyllic setting with a lovely stone cottage along a small creek. Good quality, fiber optic Internet access affording an opportunity for a spouse to work remotely. Close enough to Great Falls for a spouse to work in town if desired.
Duties would include: grounds-keeping including mowing and weed trimming, debris cleanup, landscaping projects, building and equipment cleanup and maintenance, noxious weed spraying. May also include help with general ranch and cattle work depending on employee’s experience and skill level. This is not a ranch hand/management position. Much of the work is menial and grubby but offers opportunities for the right person to assume additional ranch work if he/she proves capable.
We do not provide a meal service. The advantage to an employee or couple is the flexible schedule, providing time to explore Montana while earning a salary. Great Falls is located between Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks.
Employee requirements:
- Drug and tobacco free
- Honest and trustworthy
- Smoking is not allowed in the buildings or in the equipment. This ranch is a drug-free operation
- Must be clean and organized
- Good communication skills
- Good attitude and ability to develop positive relationships with fellow employees
- Ability to recognize when equipment is in need of servicing and notifying ranch management when necessary maintenance is required
- Follows safety protocols
- Has the skill to use a chain saw or has the ability to learn
- Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record;
- Pets are not allowed in the house.
- Assumes additional duties as assigned
Salary will be negotiated based on experience. The season of work is flexible but would typically run from June to August (or September).
