Summary:
Fish On Ranch is looking for experienced, knowledgeable fly fishing instructors looking to share their knowledge and passion for fly fishing with our guests. The ideal candidate is an ambitious and hard working individual who values the opportunity to spend the summer living and working at a ranch, surrounded by world-class fly fishing and outdoor activity.
Essential Duties:
- Provides a world class and memorable fishing experience for the Fish On Ranch guests
- Has interest and passion for fly fishing and enjoys conversations about it
- Has an ability to teach and guide fly fishing for guests of any age or experience level
- Friendly, patient and professional with all guests and staff
- Helps coordinate transportation and scheduling of guests as needed
- Is knowledgeable of all Fish On Ranch fly fishing equipment
- Willing to gain intimate knowledge of all fisheries on ranch property and surrounding fisheries
- Makes sure all vehicles and equipment are cleaned and ready for the next guest after each use
- Works closely with the ranch manager with any duties assigned, as needed
- Knows the Fish On Ranch emergency procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree preferred
- Outdoor recreation knowledge preferred
- CPR/First Aid certified
- Ability to communicate effectively via email, and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other ranch employees.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. You will be expected to be able to walk the property and help guests navigate the ranch in vehicle and on foot to access fishing areas.
- Hours of Work: Expected hours of work vary by season and business demands. Hours may be less than 40 during slow weeks/months, or could be as high as 50+ during peak season. Work activity will skew towards the weekends.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Weekly salary of $700 per week + tips
- Housing, including utilities; no rent

- Fly fishing and recreational activities available during non-working hours
