Now Hiring: Seasonal Horseback Trail Guide & Ranch Hand
Location: 260-acre Ranch in Scenic Southwest Colorado
Season: July through October 2025

Compensation: $17/hour + tips

Private on-site accommodation included ( (cabin with kitchenette, running water, and composting toilet; shared shower access in the main house)

We’re seeking a responsible, hands-on, and nature-loving individual to join us for the season as a Horseback Riding Trail Guide & Ranch Hand on our breathtaking 260-acre ranch in the heart of Southwest Colorado.

This live-in position offers a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in quiet wilderness, work with horses, and be part of a small team offering private trail rides and intimate art retreats.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead up to two 1.5-hour private trail rides daily through stunning, secluded nature
  • Care for 4 well-trained horses: feeding, grooming, saddling, and treating minor wounds if needed.
  • Maintain and clear horseback trails with tools, including chainsaw use in wooded areas
  • Assist with ranch upkeep: gardening, irrigation, light maintenance, and caring for goats
  • Run local errands — a valid driver’s license is required

You Are:

  • Experienced with horses and trail riding
