SEASONAL HOUSEKEEPER
JOB DESCRIPTION
The seasonal housekeeper performs many diverse tasks. These include, but are not limited to, the cleaning of all buildings on the property, light laundry service, and washing windows. Occasionally may be asked to assist with serving meals, and cleaning the dining areas. During times housekeeping is minimal housekeepers will assist with landscape maintenance.
Staff members are expected to be polite and contribute to a friendly, warm atmosphere. The housekeepers work under the supervision of the head housekeeper and office manager. May be asked to assist with other duties as needed.
Room and board are provided. Flexible on start and end dates. Prefer May – August 10th.
Job Responsibilities:
Residential and Support Building Maintenance
- Clean, disinfect, dust, vacuum, tidy and maintain kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas.
- Perform basic laundry functions including proper washing and drying, handwashing, and ironing when necessary.
- Clean and disinfect designated areas for family dog.
- Clean with environmentally-friendly products
- Collaborate with ranch manager, office manager and other staff
- Wash and detail ranch vehicles
- Assist with projects and property renovations as requested
Grounds Maintenance
- Monitor buildings for pest control
- Maintain aesthetic appeal around houses: mowing, weeding and pruning
- Care for 30 porch containers of seasonal plantings
- Sweep porches
Job Requirements:
- May 15 – August 15 (variable)
- High Standards of order and cleanliness
- Ability to work under changing circumstances
- Ability to adapt to changes in work schedule and job duties
- Ability to work long hours for several consecutive days, including weekends and holidays, in an isolated setting.
- Punctual
- Smoke/Vape/Drug Free workplace
- Honest, observant and careful
- Resourceful and able to solve problems with minimal oversight
- Attend CPR training provided by employer
- Ability to lift 50 lbs periodically and walk ¼ mile between buildings
- Adhere to confidentiality agreement and complete background check.
- Possess appropriate legal documentation to work in the United States.
- Provide stable work history and references
- Have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be 18 years of age
