Kindness Ranch Animal Sanctuary is seeking a skilled full-time (40 hours per week, flexible) team member for a seasonal maintenance/ranch hand position. The primary duties of this position include general maintenance and small building projects around the property, as well as serving as a back-up caretaker for the horses and livestock in the Ranch Manager’s absence.

The ideal candidate will have experience with and working knowledge of:
– Operating tractors
– General building maintenance
– Indoor and outdoor painting
– Basic construction and carpentry
– Basic plumbing and/or electrical systems

Horse and livestock experience are strongly preferred but not required. We are currently home to 20+ horses, as well as sheep, cows, and pigs, who are attended to regularly.

In order to be considered, you must:
– Be reliable and able to commit to 6 months (though we are open to flexibility for students returning to school in the fall);
– Have your own transportation;
– Be at least 18 and agree to a background check as part of the application process.

Non-local applicants are welcome. Housing for one person can be provided onsite in the form of a small furnished one-bedroom cabin, with refundable deposit. Personal pets can be considered case-by-case.

**Please note this is not a training position — Experience is necessary!

Kindness Ranch Animal Sanctuary is a 1,000-acre, no-kill sanctuary providing care for former research animals. We are located in the ranchlands of southeastern Wyoming, about 100 miles north of Cheyenne. Most of our staff live on-site, and we are also open to visitors and volunteers throughout the year.

Our sanctuary is a drug-free environment, NO exceptions.
