Mariposa Ranch
An amazing opportunity to spend several months in the Absaroka Mountains beside the beautiful upper South Fork River outside of Cody Wyoming.
We are a private guest ranch and hosts guests mainly from May-October. All positions will include barn chores, cleaning corrals, lawn care (weed-eating, cleaning up yards and ranch etc.), general ranch maintenance, and other ranch-related work.
Specific positions needed:
Wrangler – Experience with horses required. Will need to be able to provide care for 20 ranch horses, saddle and groom horses, take guests on rides around the ranch and surrounding mountains, and provide minor veterinary care for horses.
Irrigator – Experience with irrigation is required. Would be expected to flood irrigate four pastures, run Pivots in two hay fields, utilize Micro-Rains to water pasture, and occasionally run sprinklers in the yards. Would also need to fix fences and perform other ranch-related tasks.
All positions must be flexible as they are required to help with general ranch tasks and maintenance such as painting, weed-eating, cleaning decks and fences, etc.
Positions available from late April through October, but can make exceptions if you are in school.
Housing is provided and is a shared space. Individuals will be expected to do their share to keep this space clean and be respectful of other employees and guests.
Pay is Based on experience.
