Maroon Bells Guide and Outfitters in Aspen, CO is hiring full time wranglers for the 2026 summer season! We do guided horseback rides and pack trips through one of the most beautiful wilderness areas in the West. We have a fun, hard working team and excellent, reliable trail horses. It is a 5 day a week job that is paid with a salary plus very generous tips…it is Aspen after all. Our season runs from mid May to end of September. New hires start June 1st.

Requirements:

horse experience a must
a passion for horses and the outdoors
excellent teamwork and communication skills
diligent, adaptable, self-motivated, ” a can do and go with the flow,” positive attitude
exceptional customer service skills
valid driver’s license (experience driving horse trailers is a plus)
able to lift 60 plus lbs
able to do physical work and ride for several hours
safety conscious with a CPR and first aid card
mechanical, carpentry, machinery experience a plus but not required

Responsibilities:

guide guests on horseback on various different trails
assigning guests to their horses
saddle and unsaddle horses
feeding and watering of horses
doctoring of horses
training and riding of young horses
tack repair and cleaning
general maintenance and clean up of stable area and corrals etc
possible on site housing to rent for the right applicant
sorry no dogs
personal horses are allowed, but they must work to earn their feed and board

Salary:

The wranglers are on a salaried position. $1000.00 every 2 weeks for a 5 day work week. We add an auto gratuity to all of our rides at 20%. Sometimes we get extra cash on top of that. On average, they make at least $200 a day plus their salary.
