Senior Barn Manager / Livestock Manager

About Us
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Barn Manager to join our private farm estate in Franklin, Tennessee.
This is a long-term opportunity for someone who genuinely loves animals, takes pride in immaculate facilities, and notices problems before they become emergencies.
This is a quality-over-quantity operation. We are not looking for someone to simply complete chores—we are looking for someone who takes ownership, notices details, and genuinely cares about the wellbeing of every animal.
Animal welfare is our highest priority.
We are looking for a calm, experienced professional who treats every animal as if it were their own.
Animals
Our farm includes:
- Horses
- Donkeys
- Mini horses
- Mini Highland cattle
- Sheep
- Livestock Guardian Dogs
Responsibilities
- Daily feeding and watering
- Monitor the health and wellbeing of all animals
- Recognize early signs of illness, injury or distress
- Administer medications and basic treatments as directed
- Coordinate veterinarian and farrier visits
- Clean stalls, barns and feeding areas to a very high standard
- Groom and handle horses safely and confidently
- Rotate pastures and monitor fencing
- Operate tractors, UTVs and farm equipment safely
- Maintain feed inventory and keep barns organized
- Perform daily property inspections
- Report maintenance issues immediately
- Assist with training and supervising additional ranch staff
- Help maintain an exceptionally clean, organized and professional farm
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years professional horse experience
- Experience caring for multiple horses every day
- Confident handling horses independently
- Experience with livestock preferred
- Able to identify health issues before they become emergencies
- Reliable, punctual and self-motivated
- Excellent references
- Valid driver’s license
- Must pass a background check, employment verification, and reference checks.
