ROLE #1: SERVER
Job Description
Title: Server
Reports To: Front of House Manager and Supervisors
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Working Environment: Working Ranch & Guest Hospitality
SUMMARY:
Servers are responsible for food service and attendant functions, such as maintenance of the dining room and specified kitchen areas, and buffet set-up. Servers have a significant amount of contact with guests and greatly influence the guests’ overall enjoyment of the Ranch experience. A waitperson should make a guest feel truly welcome. He or she will learn the names of the guests and address them by their first name. A successful waitperson is quick with a smile, friendly, outgoing, eager to serve, and exceptionally courteous. He or she is self-motivated and competent in performing all duties, both in preparation for meals and in providing guest service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and clean up for meals.
- Guest and staff food service.
- Maintenance of east and west server closets.
- Maintenance of dining room sideboards and their contents.
- Maintenance of linen cupboard and its contents.
- Maintenance of reach-in, vegetable sink, and countertops.
- Maintenance of server area at the pool kitchen.
- Assist other departments, when necessary, i.e. housekeeping, dishwashers & ranch hands.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Performs all related duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to communicate verbally to colleagues and guests.
- Ability to listen and hear.
- Frequently required to walk.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

ROLE #2: HOUSEKEEPER
Job Description: Housekeeper
Job Classification: Non-Exempt
Working Environment: Working Ranch & Guest Hospitality
Supervisor: Director of Rooms & Executive Housekeeper
Summary: Housekeepers are responsible for the housekeeping functions of the ranch. Individuals work in guest units, public areas, and the linen room. All work is performed to standards of quality as required by the owners and communicated by the Director of Rooms. A successful housekeeper is one who takes pride in his/her work, is flexible, and works with initiative and momentum.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Clean public areas daily.
- Clean guest units daily.
- Distribute amenities to guest units.
- Evening cleaning of public areas (PM duty).
- Assist with evening turn-down service in guest units.
- Weekly thorough cleaning of public areas.
- Weekly thorough cleaning of guest units.
- Clean linen room, guest laundry, and staff bathrooms in the kitchen and staff dining room.
- Maintain vacuums and humidifiers.
- Window cleaning.
- Carpet cleaning.
- Report maintenance requests to Executive Housekeeper.
Secondary Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the laundry.
- Mending.
- Occasionally bus tables during guest meals.
- Other assignments as required.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk distances and lift 30lbs
