Job Description:

Location: Yerington, NV (80-Acre Working Ranch)
Dates: November 30, 2026 – December 8, 2026 (Approx. 8 Days)
Compensation: Premium contract rate of $200 per day ($1,600 total for the 8-day contract, paid via 1099) + Private, newly built Guest Unit provided on-site.

About Us:

We are a state- and federally incorporated working ranch in Yerington, Nevada. Our 80-acre facility is a specialized operation: we host rescue livestock/equines and host guided upland hunts for disabled veterans. We maintain a secure, professional environment and require an elite contractor to manage operations while the Executive Director travels.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Gundog & Livestock Care: Oversee the strict feeding, housing, and structural routines for our 5 working gundogs. Manage morning/evening feeding for rescue equines and pasture livestock.
  • Winter Operations: Maintain and monitor ranch infrastructure during freezing winter conditions. Ensure all tanks and water delivery lines remain entirely clear. Perform daily 80-acre perimeter security checks.

Strict Requirements (No Exceptions):

  • Turnkey Experience Required: This is a management position for fully experienced professionals. We are not offering training. You must possess verifiable, standalone competency in working dog handling and large animal/equine care.
  • Vetting: Must provide professional references. Candidate must pass a comprehensive background check prior to contract signing.
  • On-Site Conduct: This is a dry, secure facility. Strictly no smoking, no vaping, no alcohol, and no recreational/illegal drug use anywhere on the 80-acre property or inside the guest unit. Violations result in immediate contract termination. No personal pets or guests permitted.
  • Local Factor: Northern Nevada/local candidates preferred for a paid 2-hour working orientation on the ranch well before November 30th.
