S3 Land & Cattle
We’re looking for a reliable, experienced, and animal-first individual to join our team as a Farm/Barn Manager on a small, private operation. This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes horses and understands the commitment of ranch life.
🟨 Important Note:
The horses you’ll be caring for are performance horses, not just your average ranch horses. They are well-trained, high-value animals from a mix of breeds and disciplines. These horses require attentive, knowledgeable care and regular handling to maintain their manners and conditioning.
🔹 Requirements:
- Valid ID or Driver’s License
- Reliable Vehicle
- Must pass a background check
- 10+ years of hands-on horse experience REQUIRED
- Some experience with cattle — at least comfortable being around livestock
- Willingness to put the care of the animals before your own needs
- If housing is provided, must maintain general yard and home upkeep (we provide the equipment)
✨ Bonus if you have:
- Solid horsemanship and riding skills
- Ability to help keep horses respectful, responsive, and well-mannered
🏡 Housing and pay are negotiable depending on experience and duties taken on. This is a lifestyle job, not just a paycheck — and a great fit for someone serious about quality animal care and rural living.
Job will start in Calvert, TX and transition in 6-12 months to College Station, Tx
We also travel with the horses from time to time and sometimes you will be required to travel with us to assist.
