Sun Valley Resort
A Sun Valley Stable Hand assists the Stable Horse Manager and Assistant Manager with handling all aspects of horse care, chores, and farm maintenance. This position is hourly, full-time, year-round, including tips.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Bring in, turn out
- Feeding
- Mucking
- Horse maintenance
- Administering of meds
- Assessing the health of individual horses
- Adjustments to diet
- Booking trail and wagon rides
- Guiding trail rides
Qualifications:
- Stable experience is required.
- Professional horse-handling skills are a plus.
- Highly organized & motivated.
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer skills are a plus.
- Be motivated to work hours that are necessary
- Be able to work in all weather conditions
- Be able to lift 50lbs easily
- Experience in driving a team is a plus but not required.
- Light carpentry and common sense repair skills.
