We’re a modern farm/ranch operation located in North Central Kansas / South Central Nebraska. We operate a 13,000 acre farm/ranch which includes dry-land and irrigated hay, corn and soybeans. We have a 750 cow/calf operation specializing in raising two unique genetic lines of seed stock.

We are seeking to immediately fill a full-time Team Lead/Farm Manager for our operation who is a self starter, organized and a forward thinker. (or We are seeking a highly motivated, forward-thinking Team Lead/Farm Manager to predominantly work on and manage the farming side of our operation.)

The Team Lead/Farm Manager will predominately work on and manage the farming side of our operation but as needed would also work on the ranch side.

These operations include scheduling work crews to carry out planting, harvests, running irrigation; spraying; various field operations with tractors; purchasing supplies; and generally ensuring the success of the crops in the field, the quality of the product being sold, and the maintenance of the facilities and equipment. The Farm Manager will coordinate with and report to the Owner/farmer remotely when he is away and in person when he is present on the farm.

This position offers a wide variety of responsibilities including managing a crew of 3-4 staff, coordinate others’ schedules, maintain an enjoyable work environment, planting, harvesting, pivot irrigations, haying, cattle care and fencing. Must be able to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions and maintain an attitude befitting a leader; and manage his/her own time to get the work done that is necessary for the success of the farm. There is some flexibility in work hours but the manager must be available to do the work needed when it is needed, which may be very early in the morning or late in the evening on certain days and often dependent on the weather and on the staff's availability.
