You’re confident leading groups on trail through Roosevelt National Forest at 8,000+ feet. You match horses to riders, read terrain, manage group dynamics, and keep everyone safe while making it feel effortless. You join guests for meals, tell stories at campfires, and pick up every piece of hay twine you see.

Sundance Trail Ranch is Colorado’s smallest dude ranch — 24 guests max, a 35-horse working string, and 800,000+ acres of national forest at the gate. The horses are at the heart of everything we do. And we treat them like it.

What’s in it for you:

💰 $15.16/hr + tips
🏠 On-ranch housing, meals, and laundry — all free. That package is worth an extra $9.74/hr tax-free, putting your real comp at over $24.90/hr before tips. Most seasonal jobs pay more on paper but cost you more to live. Here, your overhead is close to zero.
🏔 Days off = riding, hiking, jacuzzi, disc golf, shooting range
📅 ~40 hrs/week, 5 days on / 2 off · May-October 2026, or Year-round
📈 Weekly coaching and real leadership development — you’ll come in as a wrangler and leave as a leader

What we’re looking for: Strong riding skills and confidence leading trail rides in mountain terrain. Solid horse handling — catching, grooming, saddling, basic equine first aid. Genuine hospitality instinct — you actually enjoy being around people. Current First Aid & CPR. Background checks + Mandatory Reporter training required. Tobacco-free, drug-free — no exceptions.
