Private Ranch
We are a private family waterfowl hunting ranch located in El Campo, Texas. The primary focus of the ranch during the spring and summer months are that of a farming operation, and during the fall and winter months, the main objective is providing exceptional waterfowl hunting opportunities for guests. We are currently looking for a full time wildlife/farm hand to join our team. This position provides a very diverse and rewarding opportunity.
Tasks included, but are not limited to:
– Seedbed preparation for crops and assisting in planting and cultivating crops.
– Checking Irrigation Lines and maintenance of water well motors.
– Maintenance of water control structures.
– Assisting in moist soil draw downs and monitoring water levels.
– Movement and placement of duck blinds to specified locations, along with brushing them to ensure total concealment.
– Replacing Pit blinds as they become unusable.
– Assisting in blind preparation before hunts i.e. checking cleanliness, setting decoy spreads and ensuring all necessary items are in blinds.
– General Ranch up keep: Shredding of roads, filling ruts, checking fence lines.
– Maintenance and upkeep of farm equipment and ranch vehicles
– Assisting in quality control of headquarters and all ranch structures
– Following direction of manager as instructed and ensuring guest satisfaction.
– Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
Work Truck is provided for work related activities
MUST HAVE:
– Knowledge and Experience in running farm equipment and implements.
– Clean Record
– Ability to pass a drug screening
– Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
– Applicant must be willing to work long hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
– Legally able to work in United States
– Ability to communicate well with others and take instruction.
– Dependable and possessing a positive attitude
– Self-starter and ability to work in the summer heat. At times lifting 50lbs + will be necessary.
– Experience in waterfowl habitat and management is preferred.
