Description of Operation:

Mill Iron Ranches is comprised of 20,000 acres in the Texas Panhandle 30 miles outside of Childress, TX.  The ranch currently run 500 mother cows/heifers.  The ranch also runs a commercial deer and quail hunting operation, with some farming activity.

Position:

Hunting Specialist/ Wildlife Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Wildlife Management plan and Commercial Hunting Activities
  • Oversee Bird Dogs
  • Surveying wildlife for various studies
  • Filling and maintaining feeders, blinds, and other hunting equipment
  • Organize and guide hunters and cleaning animals during hunting season
  • Assisting with the raising and caring of livestock during hunting off season
  • Assisting with overseeing lodge and guest housing maintenance

Other Duties:

  • Oversee additional land parcels and buildings owned by the ranch and family throughout Collingsworth County

Qualifications:

  • Hunting background pursuing Quail, Whitetail, and Turkey
  • Ability to work both weekday and weekends to assist with hunting or livestock operations
  • Team player
  • Patient, even-tempered person
  • Clean Driving license
  • Operation and maintenance of farm equipment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
