Alaska Horsemen Trail Adventures and Guest Ranch
Opportunity to operate a small, established trail ride business in Cooper Landing, Alaska. Looking for a professional person that can guide all the trail rides. Job includes answering the phone, screening guests and booking rides, collecting money, gearing and saddling them up and guiding the rides. Trail rides are mostly 2 hour trips with a maximum of 4 riders. This is a one person operation with good owner support. Potential for custom private trips as well. When not doing rides there is plenty of ranch work as well as light housekeeping, yard work, construction and maintenance.
Our guest ranch is located in a small resort town, surrounded by mountains, on the Kenai Peninsula, 100 miles south of Anchorage. We are in our 70’s and have downsized our horseback operation with focus on marketing our cabins and RV park and continuing a small horseback venue. Currently our lodging is directed to housing construction workers for a large road job in the area. When completed our focus will be back to marketing our guest ranch cabins and RV park for tourism as well as a wedding venue and continuing the trail ride business. Potential for a couple that wanted to grow with the business and help market and operate our small ranch.
Salary: $3,000 /mo plus tips, housing and potential for bonus.
