Join the team at the R Lazy S Ranch, a historic, family-operated dude ranch at the base of the Tetons, offering authentic Western hospitality for over 75 years.
Season: May 11 – October 14 (full-season commitment preferred)
About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced and personable Wrangler to lead trail rides, provide riding instruction, and help care for our herd. This is a hands-on, guest-facing role that blends horsemanship, ranch work, and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead group and private trail rides; provide riding instruction
- Care for horses (feeding, grooming, saddling, basic medical care)
- Assist with daily barn operations and maintenance
- Transport horses and guests to offsite ride locations (trailer driving required)
- Participate in pasture and trail upkeep (fencing, clearing, irrigation)
- Support weekly ranch activities such as team penning and wagon rides
Schedule:
- 5-day work week (Sundays off; additional day varies)
- Early mornings and varied daily schedules
Requirements:
- Strong horse experience and riding instruction skills
- Age 21+ with valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Positive, energetic, and guest-oriented attitude
- Flexible and team-focused mindset
