Big Bend / Lajitas Stables
We are looking for a full time wrangler, but will definitely consider seasonal wrangler.
We ARE NOT a RANCH!
We are guided tour operations. This is not a Cowboy job, this is a people job while working with horses, mules, or donkey’s in West Texas by Big Bend National/ and State Park. Where You can go explore on Your days off.
We take guest on guided Hourly and multi-day trips .
Wrangler’s duties, but not limited to:
- Responsible for bringing horses, mules, donkey’s in from pasture.
- Brush, saddle appropriate animals for the ride/ rides booked that day. We will train you on how to read the reservations so you can prepare for the days rides.
- Prepare lunches if it is a lunch ride ( we train on this too..)
- Fix broken tack, keep barn and tack room clean.
- First aid ( not red cross ) is a plus but We will help sign you up for a class if You do not have a wafa or higher certificate
.
We do provide employee subsidized housing .
Must have own vehicle as Big Bend is a beautiful place to live. We are remote. No Big Box stores near us.
