(August-October)
Hunting camp cook needed. Position starts around August 20th and runs through October.
Our camp is located 20 miles in the Teton Wilderness accessed via horseback. First class wall tent camp with large eating and kitchen tent. Meals are prepared on 6 burner propane stove, propane oven or open fire using a grate. Dutch oven cooking is an option.
Hunts are 10 days with 48 hours between hunts to resupply. The camp cooks is responsible for menu creation, purchasing food, packing food in box panniers and coolers, and preparing 3 meals daily for 10-12 people. This position requires someone willing to wake very early and work longs days, there is down time during the day when hunters are out. In addition to cooking, the camp cook will help maintain a very clean camp and assist other crew with daily camp chores.
Previous riding experience is preferred and cooks help lead mule strings in and out camp. Previous packing experience is a bonus.
