Off-grid, Back Country Lodge in Oregon hiring for 2 positions (A couple would be considered if they can meet the requirements of both positions)

Come live in the “Wilder Side of Oregon”! We are a small, but growing, lodge and pack station in NE Oregon and are looking for two hard-working, adventurous and fun people to assist with the myriad of tasks essential to operating a year-round, full-service lodge and pack station. We are accessible by vehicle in summer, but must be willing to snowmobile in/out in winter. These positions are full-time temporary (Dec – April) to start, but full-time permanent may be available. We work a lot, but also enjoy ample opportunity to “get out” into the adjacent wilderness and USFS lands to pursue all the activities those areas provide.

Cooking/Housekeeping:

Ideal Candidate will be an upbeat “People person” with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able to work all day and perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, etc. They must have solid experience and knowledge in meal preparation and food handling (commercial or large group experience is a bonus, but we are willing to train); basic knowledge of computers, customer service and housekeeping / cleaning.

Responsibilities / Duties: Prepare quality, upscale meals for guests; Welcome any visitors or guests that may come to lodge; Answer phones & take reservations when managers are unavailable; Assist in keeping lodge and kitchen clean; Clean cabins as needed; Serve meals and run POS system. Other tasks as needed to promote the smooth operation and friendly atmosphere of the lodge.

Requirements of Employer:

Valid Driver’s Licenses
Background Check upon employment

Pay is DOE (starting at $1,900/mo) and will include all room & board. Prefer non-smokers. Drugs of any sort on-site are grounds for dismissal. No “drinkers”. Some pets / horses may be allowed.
