Diversified ranch in North Central Nebraska, near Valentine, looking for a full-time employee with a Range Management or Animal Science degree. Must have 1-2 years of experience in agriculture or ranch work. Master’s degree in Range Management or Animal Science, or related, preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license. The ideal candidate is a quick-learner, self-starter, and dedicated worker.
Responsibilities include:
- Fencing
- Harvesting meadow and alfalfa hay
- Operating tractors, feed truck, ATVs, and other equipment (cattle work is done without horses and dogs)
- Moving and working cattle
- Calving
- Working with bison herd
- Basic shop and mechanic experience
- Working in inclement weather conditions
