Seeking a full-time assistant to the Ranch Manager for a 400 acre, family-owned ranch located west of Fort Worth. This is a second home for the family and not a working ranch. The family frequently entertains guests and is looking for a dependable person who can help maintain the property, take care of horses, and can assist guests with various activities.
The assistant ranch-hand will be responsible for general maintenance and upkeep of the grounds/facilities which include mowing, weed eating, tree trimming, road grading, maintaining ranch vehicles and equipment, and being on the ranch in the absence of the Ranch Manager. Experience with heavy equipment, welding equipment, electrical systems, HVAC, irrigation systems is a plus. This position reports to the Ranch Manager.
This is a recreational ranch with direct access to the Brazos River. Some of the activities include tubing, kayaking, fishing, horseback riding, skeet shooting, rifle/pistol range, tennis and pickleball.
Salary based on experience. Must live on property. New living accommodations provided! (Accommodations are exceptional for a couple or single resident.) Must be professional and hard working.
Hiring Requirements:
- Must be a legal U.S. citizen OR have valid working papers.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean DMV report.
- Must provide a work history with personal and employer references with valid phone numbers.
- Must be able to pass an initial drug test/background check.
