M&S New Mexico Outfitters
(September, October, November)
We are seeking an experienced CAMP COOK VENDOR for seasonal hunting camps in New Mexico. Our camps typically serve 10 to 15 people including hunters, guides, and camp staff. This is a contracted vendor position paid by 1099.
LOCATION AND SETUP
Remote wall tent camp setting. Vendor may stay in provided camp lodging or bring their own camper or RV on site.
SCHEDULE
Seasonal hunts August through December with individual camps lasting 5 to 10 days each.
STANDARD PAY
- 250 dollars per day flat rate
- Tips belong to the cook and are client driven
WHAT WE PROVIDE
- All groceries and food supplies
- Cooking space and camp kitchen setup
- Propane and utilities
- Lodging space at camp
- Coolers and storage
- Trash removal
VENDOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare breakfast, sack lunches, and dinner daily
- Assist with packing guide and hunter lunches and coolers
- Menu planning with one steak dinner on final night or upon tag out
- Provide grocery list at least 7 days prior to camp
- Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen
- Manage food safety and temperatures
- Accommodate reasonable dietary needs
- Provide personal knives and preferred small tools
- Professional attitude with clients and crew
REQUIRED TO QUALIFY AS VENDOR
- Business name as LLC or sole proprietor
- Completed W9
- Food handler or ServSafe certification
- General liability insurance
- Ability to invoice for services
- Prior experience cooking for groups
NOT REQUIRED
- Guiding duties
- Butchering
- Client room cleaning
- Major camp construction
