Job Description:

As the Executive Chef at Cedar Cove Ranch, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the culinary operations. You will lead a team of culinary professionals in creating and delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The Executive Chef will also be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

If you do not have previous experience working at a hunting ranch as a chef, you may not be the right fit for this position.

Food & Beverage / Chef

  • Lead and manage to deliver high-quality meals and dining experiences that exceed guest expectations.
  • Develop and execute seasonal menus that showcase local ingredients and reflect the unique character of Cedar Cove Ranch.
  • Food preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Manage inventory and food costs, ensuring that budgetary targets are met.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment, following all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of food service for events and activities.
  • Train and mentor culinary and guest services staff, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, incorporating new ideas and techniques into the culinary program at Cedar Cove Ranch.
  • Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation.
  • Take a proactive approach to inventory management, meticulously monitoring stock levels, & conducting regular assessments to ensure a well-maintained and efficient kitchen operation while minimizing waste.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, ensuring all surfaces, equipment, and utensils are promptly cleaned and sanitized after each meal service.
  • Optimize food and beverage margins.
  • Personalizing Guest experience – ensuring details are considered while planning a guest experience.
  • DOING WHATEVER IT TAKES ATTITUDE AND PROVIDING SERVICE HIGHEST STANDARDS

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role in a high-end, luxury setting.
  • Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Solid understanding of kitchen management, including inventory control, cost management, and food safety.
  • Creative approach to menu development, with a focus on innovation and seasonality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred.
