Auric Road is seeking a dedicated and capable Summer Seasonal Chef’s Assistant to support culinary operations at a privately owned working ranch in Montana. This role is essential to delivering the warm, thoughtful, hospitality‑forward experience the property is known for, while supporting a team that values stewardship, responsibility, and long‑term impact.
We are building a values‑driven team that cares deeply about craft, consistency, and service. The Chef’s Assistant will play a central role in maintaining high standards across kitchen operations, food preparation, and guest dining experiences throughout the busy summer season.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Chef with daily food preparation and cooking tasks
- Supporting meal service for guests and staff in a hospitality‑forward manner
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in kitchen and back‑of‑house spaces
- Washing, organizing, and restocking kitchen tools, equipment, and supplies
- Assisting with inventory management and restocking of food and beverage items
- Ensuring all culinary spaces meet Auric Road’s standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation
- Reporting maintenance needs, safety concerns, or inventory shortages promptly
- Providing warm, professional, and collaborative support to the culinary and hospitality teams

- Strong work ethic and personal accountability
- Prior culinary, kitchen, or hospitality experience preferred
- High attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, orderly spaces
- Comfort working in a rural environment and supporting a small, collaborative team
