Tarryall River Ranch is a ministry-focused, family-owned Guest ranch located in Lake George, Colorado. Operating since the 1920’s, Tarryall boasts a long history of providing excellent hospitality and Western fun. Today our ranch hosts a wide range of Christian ministries, pastors, missionaries, and non-profit organizations. We are also open to the public for horseback rides.

Note: we are a non-smoking establishment. We are also a Christian work environment.

Responsibilities:

The staff at Tarryall River Ranch is a close-knit, team-oriented community. The nature of the work requires all staff to be willing to pitch in and help wherever needed, regardless of the task or the department it falls under.

  • Must abide by all guidelines for food/workplace safety and hygiene as outlined by the Head Chef
  • Assisting in daily food preparation wherever necessary (as directed by the Head Chef). This may include preparing meat, vegetables or sides, weighing/mixing ingredients, undertaking cooking or baking duties, helping to label and store food, etc.
  • Baking desserts, breads, etc.
  • Coordinating with general staff lead during meal times.
  • Assisting with dishwashing.
  • Wiping down and sanitizing kitchen surfaces, taking out the trash, and cleaning up spills.
  • Alerting the Head Chef of any guest allergies.
  • Helping with receiving and organizing food/dry goods orders.
  • Helping to keep the kitchen, pantry, and appliances clean and organized.
  • Contributing to the overall guest ranch experience with participation in weekly events.
  • Occasionally working during special events

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must maintain a high level of integrity and interpersonal skills both with fellow employees and TRR customers.
  • Must be comfortable working in a small industrial kitchen.
  • Must be confident and competent using knives, working with and around an industrial stove/oven
  • Must be able to successfully follow a recipe without the need for constant oversight.
  • Must be aware of and comply with sanitation regulations as well as safety standards applicable to the kitchen and dining room spaces.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure.
  • Must be able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

$18-$30 an hour. Hours range 25-45. We are looking for someone to fill a seasonal/full time position. Pay and benefits package will be established based on commitment level. This role also includes the potential of ranch provided housing also based on commitment level.
