Flying B Ranch is seeking a seasonal Lodge Cook to join our team in the heart of Idaho’s Frank Church Wilderness. Accessible only by small aircraft, raft or hiking, Flying B offers guests an unforgettable backcountry experience – and food is a huge part of that experience.
This is more than a kitchen job. We’re looking for someone who enjoys cooking, takes pride in hospitality, and wants to spend a season living and working in a spectacular remote setting.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare hearty, country-style meals for guests and staff
- Cook breakfast to order and create rotating lunch and dinner menus
- Bake desserts, muffins, breads, cookies, and keep the cookie jar full
- Assist with food prep, inventory, cleanliness, and kitchen organization
- Help create a warm, welcoming lodge atmosphere
Our Style of Cooking
Think comfort food and generous portions:
- Fresh breakfasts with made-to-order eggs, breakfast entrées, baked goods, fruit, granola, coffee, and beverages
- Light lodge lunches including soups, sandwiches, salads, and leftovers
- Classic ranch dinners featuring meat, potatoes, vegetables, rolls, salad, and dessert
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Enjoys cooking for groups and serving others
- Is organized, dependable, and self-motivated
- Works well independently and with a team
- Has restaurant, lodge, ranch, catering, or hospitality experience
- Appreciates wilderness living and adventure
