We have a family ranch in south Texas in need of a new Foreman to live on the property and manage the ranch. It is a family weekend getaway only, no commercial hunting. You will be largely unsupervised and work with us to accomplish needed projects. Maintenance of the main house is key. During hunting season we will need extra help with cooking and cleaning when the owners are there.
Key Duties: Wildlife
- Filling feeders
- Planting oats/wheat
- Monitoring/scouting herd
- Assist in population control and predator control
- We have a few goats
Key Duties: Facilities
- Check on main and guest houses weekly, clean monthly in offseason
- Keep vehicles and equipment maintained and running
- Actively look for problems before they arise
Hunting Season Duties:
- Assist the owners and their guests
- Daily help cleaning and some cooking as required
- Guiding owners occasional guest
- Cleaning harvests
We are currently refurbishing the 3+ bedroom Foreman’s house and have immediate other lodging available if needed. Pets and horses are welcome. There is a ranch truck for your use for ranch business.
Salary: $40,000
