Large 52,000-acre private ranch located in Northeast Colorado that runs a 1,000 cow/calf operation is seeking a highly qualified cowboy/ranch hand. This is a long-term position that requires on site living and a varying schedule. This is a hands-on job that will require physical as well as mental abilities to successfully perform assigned tasks.
Those tasks will include:
- Calving, weening, and branding
- Haying
- Fence and corral construction and maintenance
- Equipment operation and maintenance
- Gathering, sorting, roping, and moving cattle horseback
- Ability to read cattle
- Basic to moderate mechanical repairs on vehicles and equipment
- Vaccination and herd health
- Feeding – able to run a feed truck
- Farming of hay ground
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Welding
- Water system installation and maintenance
- Property maintenance
We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and in good physical shape.
Successful applicant will be provided with wages, housing and utilities, a company vehicle, 401(k), paid vacation and holidays, health insurance, available dental and vision insurance. Applicants are subject to a background check.
Located in between Greeley and Fort Morgan, Colorado.
